DAY OF THE DEAD BLUES

I attended the reception for the opening of the Day of the Dead show held by the Mexican Fine Arts Museum of Chicago. After the exhibit my wife and I went to several Blues clubs and ended up at a club called Chicago Blue. It was there that we saw Eddie Clearwater and his band.

After he played his set I had an opportunity to talk with Eddie, and we discussed his music and my art. That evening's concert served as the inspiration for this painting.
