SPIRIT OF VASQUEZ

Since
the first time I visited Vasquez Rocks
in Aqua Dulce I found the area to be
beautiful and mysterious. Jagged outcroppings
that look like a lunar landscape are
said to have once hid the famous bandit
Tiburcio Vasquez and his gang.
Vasquez
is considered by some as the first Chicano
social bandit who resisted the Anglo
conquest of California.
